Overflowing with Sunshine and Hugs
A sunny weekend in July, Rosehedge/Multifaith Works hosted our annual Volunteer Appreciation picnic. Beyond tasty donations from Franz Bakery and Borracchini's Bakery, Mother Nature finally came through with a piece of summer to brighten everyone's smile. The parking lot was over-flowing with sunshine, hugs, some lively music, and a host of Volunteers, Clients, and Staff.
Over the years, RH/MFW volunteers have devoted countless hours, boundless energy and seemingly limitless compassion to our clients and our organization. The RH/MFW Board and all board committees and program partners are comprised entirely of volunteers, including professional health care workers, representatives of community groups and corporations, and significantly, RH/MFW alumni. Our growth and success is due to the dedication and commitment of each of our Volunteers, Donors, and Community.
Serving a multitude of delicious homemade picnic fixin's, getting in front of a microphone to say thank you and presenting a few Volunteer of the Year awards just doesn't seem to be adequate thanks for people who are the secret sauce to all of our accomplishments. Quite simply, our volunteers are the heart of our organization. For the vulnerable men and women we serve some of the best comfort they have received has come from the warm hand or gentle hug of one of our volunteers.
